I'd like to preface this review by disclosing my discontent with reading in general. I grew up avoiding any and all books whenever I could due to my inability to focus on reading for extended periods [I'm talking like 2 paragraphs]. Having already read some of Catania's "Learning" 5th edition, and "ABA" by Cooper, I found "Functional Behavior Assessment..." to be extremely captivating and streamlined compared to the two former.The wording is simple, there's no topic jumping mid sentence, and the syntax is very basic. There's no possible way the reader can get confused while reading the terminology and concepts being discussed in this book. I've never wanted to actually finish a textbook so badly; I wish I had bought this book and not rented it!
I have to say that I am amazed by this book because it is enriched with valuable information. This book touches closely with the behavior-analytic principles including applications. Of course, although this book centers around problem behavior and the functional treatments, but it also provides a better understanding of human behaviors in general.
Seems like a good book, but I’m shocked by the editing fail(s). Got a good laugh though.
