I voluntarily read an ARC of this book and this is my honest review. Summer Brooks has written a cute story about a guy who needs a fake fiance and a girl who needs a job. He's a player who needs to clean up his act and she's just the woman for the job.
I loved this one here. Man, talk about a great ride. I could tell you all about the story and its ups and downs. But you've read the blurb. Nothing changed. Here's my awesome take. LOL. It was filled with excitement. I'm not kidding. The characters were so believable and down to earth. I think they might be my neighbors. Smooth flowing with incredible odds racked against the main characters. Everything was so realistic and life like its amazing. I loved the rollercoaster of all the emotions as they played out. Summer's either a people watcher or she's a painter. She has detail down to a science. Everything is described so vividly that I had no trouble picturing it as it continued along. So many surprises that kept me captivated and pulled so far in, I didn't want to get out. Summer has become one of my favorite authors. If I had any doubts as to her remarkable talents and gifts, they flew out the window. Not a one did I have. She hooked me then reeled me in. I didn't put this bad boy down for a second. What? I had to see how it ended. Don't take my word for it. Grab your own copy and see just how fantastic this read is. Summer did an amazing job bringing this read to life.I am voluntarily posting an honest review after reading an advanced copy.
Myra gets downsized so she's desperate for a job. She finds an opening for a housekeeper so she takes it thinking it will be temporary till she finds something else in her field. Thinking she will be a housekeeper for an older wealthy gentleman, she's in for a big surprise when she finally meets Alex. But Alec is a spoiled playboy who parties and goes through women every night. But Alec's father is sick and dying and wants to leave the business to his other sons since Alec isn't serious. This gives Alec pause and he is determined to do better to get part of the business. So Alec then asks Myra to help him and act as his pretend girlfriend and fiance'. Then the fun begins. But Alec begins to question this as he becomes more interested in Myra. But Myra is mistrustful of Alec since he is a playboy and womanizer. Entertaining story with a cute plot and great interactions between Myra and Alec. While Alec was immature, as the story progresses, you see him change and want to do better and to be with only Myra.I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book.
This is another good read by Sunmer. Myra is worried about how she will pay for everything when she loses her job. Alec has pushed things too far with his housekeeper and needs a new one. When Myra is hired, Alec needs to clean up his act before his father will leave him part of the family business, and he has one month to do that. When Alec meets Myra, he realizes that not only is she beautiful, she is very smart. He concocts this plan for her to be his fake girlfriend and then fake fiancé to show his dad he is cleaning up his act. What starts out as fake turns into something very real. Will they both have the guts to admit their true feelings before it’s too late? This was a sweet and romantic story and of course there was drama due to past trysts. They May be from two different worlds, but they are a perfect match for each other and their chemistry was hot. I was hooked from the beginning and I loved all the characters. I just hope that Alec’s brothers get their own story. I would recommend reading this book, it is really good.
Myra stresses when she learns that she has been fired from her company because of downsizing. She immediately starts to looking for a job but can't find one in her field. So she goes for an interview to be a housekeeper. Alec is a playboy that is used to getting whatever and whomever he wants. When his father says he can't be a share holder in the family business because he isn't settled Alec comes up with a plan to try and get his part of the company. He asks Myra to pretend to be his fiancé and she agrees because she needs the money. However neither counted on things quickly heating up between them and getting very real. Can Alec show Myra that he is a changed man? Will Myra tell him that she is pregnant?This is a great story that will captivate you from beginning to end. The chemistry between them is scorching hot. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Along the way, Alec begins to question the path he has been on as he becomes more enamored with Myra but can she see past his being a playboy or even trust him?
