His pupils included Babe Didrikson Zaharias and Lawson Little. Armour is succeeded by his grandson, Tommy Armour III, who is a two-time winner on the PGA Tour and currently holds the record for the lowest total score on 72 holes (254), which he set in his second PGA Tour victory at the Valero Texas Open. Armour was inducted into the World Golf Hall of Fame in 1976.

Excellent, well written, and concise instruction from a true master. For me, I have learned much from Tommy Armour. He and Harvey Penick are my two favorite golf teachers. How to Play Your Best Golf All the Time is his well known classic, as it should be, and that book has helped me much, but this book, Classic Golf Tips, and A Round of Golf with Tommy Armour are all outstanding as supplements to that book, and have improved my game even more.

Good book
I read this book and now I read a few pages before going to play. It will cut a few strokes off your score, just because of the way he simplifies the whole game of golf. The bible of golf.
The best golfing guide I have ever read. I have shared the book with several friends and all have enjoyed it and, according to them, have improved their game. I have purchased several more (used) and given as gifts. It is very hard to find a new copy.
Just what we wanted ......Tried and true over the years. Keep it simple........the best way to become a good golfer.
